The most comfortable, ergonomic and versatile wear. This wrap is first choice for those who want to use it from birth until about 3-4 years of age and have the clear intention of regular use at home and in other activities that are more taxing with continuous movements. For all sorts of activities, babywearing with the woven long wrap are feasible on your tummy, hip or on your back with the help of dozens of different knots. All you need is the will to learn them. For you and your baby, this wrap will become an essential.

Chimparoo wraps are made with  100% first quality cotton woven in cross twill that meet all criteria for obtaining high performance standards. They are diagonally flexible with no stretch in the length for maximal strength and easy adjustment. The material is thick enough to be soft and resilient but not too much to be stiff and hard to knot. The borders are sewn with a double hem that eases adjustments and solidifies knotting. Our wraps contain neither toxic products nor heavy metals and are made for newborns and young children. So that it may be used from birth to at least three years of age, the wrap must be at least 70 centimetres in width. This width permits coverage of the child from the knees to the head, legs bent. Embroidery is used to quickly identify the center of the wrap easing use when knotting.

All lengths of woven wraps may be equally used on the tummy, the hip or your back. They can be used with a newborn even premature, up until baby is completely able to walk or if needed right up until 3 or 4 years old, only the techniques differ, the ease of use and the weight distribution on the body of the wearer. According to the wearers’ body, the baby’s weight and your needs in babywearing, you must choose the size that best meets your needs. Consult our techniques for each knot and the advantages or inconveniences to help you in selecting the one that’s right for you.

The advantage of a long wrap is being able to put into practice all types of knots. However, as the name indicates, the wrap is long and could be cumbersome.  In bad weather, when the ground is wet, it is difficult to carry out a knotting without getting the wrap dirty. The travel bag is very practical, the same as using the knots can be done before putting baby in, like the simple cross.  The short wrap is the solution to this problem. However, the types of knotting are limited. The short wrap won’t permit you to do knots that spread the weight over both shoulders. Its use can be restricted by the discomfort of the wearer and therefore reduce user time to short periods. Positions such as the sling also offer less support to the child and limit certain movements of the wearer. If you are only using this position for short periods to get certain work done with a child that needs to be in your arms, this is the perfect solution for this particular use.

With the long wrap, you can do more comfortable knots that steady the child. The long woven wrap is versatile and can be used as much with a newborn as with an older child, whatever the corpulence of the wearer. It can be easily used on the tummy, hip or your back. The stretch wrap is the same length as the long woven wrap. It has the same disadvantages as far as being cumbersome. The major difference between the two wraps is the weight they can each support. A stretch wrap is suitable for a tiny baby, but when it comes to wearing a baby of 7 kilos or more, the wrap deforms too much. Result: the child lacks support, he gets compressed in the wrap and away from the body of the wearer while slowly dropping in height. The back of the wearer is then affected. It becomes not only difficult but impossible to wear baby on your back or hip. The long woven wrap, for its versatility, stays first choice with experts in babywearing.
